Reflecting Rhythms
Springbok Skull
This work “Reflecting Rhythms” is a Springbok skull, an African antelope. Springbok often go into bouts of repeated high leaps up to 6 feet into the air – a practice known as pronking.
This work celebrates the proud and showy nature with colorful peacock dagger beads descending from Czech glass buttons.
The large Czech glass buttons in the eyes and reflective metal beads on the sides of the skull define the beauty of the animal in the wild.
